Located on what used to be the Lowry Air Force Base, Lowry is an award-winning urban-infill project, often seen as a national model for sustainable development. Established in 1937, Lowry Air Force Base saw over 55,000 servicemen trained for combat until its closure in 1994. Under the Lowry Reuse Act, the base went through a redevelopment leading to the diverse, mixed-use, master-planned community that is present today.
